Covid-19 and Eden Estates

Whilst we are awaiting industry specific guidance from the Government on the elements of our work which require face to face meetings, we wish to reassure all of our existing and future clients that our business will continue to operate, regardless of the severity of the outbreak and the resulting measures to tackle it.

Office Opening:

At this moment in time, whilst we are fit and able to do so, the office will remain open. We are reminding staff to wash hands in accordance with NHS Guidelines and to use alcohol wipes to clean door handles, desks, keyboards, telephones, equipment and other surfaces regularly. Any member of staff at an increased risk of severe illness are being encouraged to follow the latest Government advice on social distancing and any member of staff showing symptoms of the virus will be instructed the follow the Government guidelines on self isolation.

Members of the public are welcome to visit us in person if absolutely necessary and on the basis that neither they or any members of their family have recently returned from an impacted area, that they do not have a high temperature or a recent dry cough and that they have not had any contact with anyone displaying symptoms of the virus. Should we need to close the office at any point in the future, we are able to operate all office functions remotely and will be able to communicate via our existing telephone number and email addresses.

Valuations:

Should you wish to have your property valued and whilst we have members of staff who are fit and able to do so, we are prepared to visit you at your home if that is your wish and on the basis that neither you or any member of your family have recently returned from an impacted area, do not have a high temperature or a recent dry cough and have not had any contact with anyone displaying symptoms of the virus. Should you prefer to have your property valued remotely, we are able to perform such an appointment via Facetime or Skype.

Viewings:

Before any property viewings go ahead we will be seeking clarification from both the viewers and the vendors (or the agent in the case of accompanied viewings) that neither they or any members of their family have recently returned from an impacted area, that they do not have a high temperature or a recent dry cough and that they have not had any contact with anyone displaying symptoms of the virus. Should anyone wish to view a property remotely, we will endeavor to provide this via recorded video footage, Facetime or Skype. Prior to the outbreak of the virus we were already in the process of establishing a virtual viewing tool and we are hopeful that this will be online by the middle of April.

Rental Inspections:

We have postponed all non-essential property inspections with immediate effect and contractors will only deployed if absolutely necessary. Should a property visit or contractor visit be required, all parties will be asked to confirm that neither they or any members of their family have recently returned from an impacted area, that they do not have a high temperature or a recent dry cough and that they have not had any contact with anyone displaying symptoms of the virus.

In the meantime, we would like to thank you for your continued support and encourage you all to keep calm, keep up to date with the latest Government advice, think about others and support your neighbours and local businesses.
